Fun course across lake from Kokanee Springs: take Ferry across water..there with L's(Bad motel and again with golf group nice clubhouse on 2d round)
BANFF SPRINGS
A favorite course played initially with parents on Canada trip...played with Brett on Memorial Day retreat..Great first hole and 5th(Devil'sCauldron) and 18th..hit 3iron into green just below Hotel...finished in the dark after an earlier round at Fairmont Mtn course. BRETT: I remember number 1 being where 15 is now, teeing off below the hotel and over the river toward the mountains. Still a great course, great time with Dad. I also played nine on my honeymoon. Wendy LOVED walking around with me.
BIRCHBANK
Flat course with nice views, remodeled several years ago...new par 3 overlooking river below, played as one of Prodigal courses...Also played with the Leons (84'), even though they didn't recall the trip!!
BOOTLEG GAP
Kimberly, BC, Newer course with great vistas..open fairways and interesting play over water on 18th...Bob Brewster won that years Prodigal with 4 good rounds (edged out Terry for the trophy).
CHRISTINA LAKES
Wonderful course with interesting holes..Played on several Prodigal trips and once with the Macs (#3 hit one left handed out of the water on par 3 and onto the green)
CRANBROOK GOLF COURSE
Very scenic course just across the border. Worth a play...several elevated tees. Played on first Prodigal in 94'. BRETT: Played again in 2012 when I got to come along. Tied with Ray Kish going into 18 and doubled it.
CRESTON
Another delightful course across border with elevaated tees..Spent a wad of $ for prizes in pro shop after first Prodigal (Tikker got a nice low gross sweater)
